Glacial Hills Spark Grant – Public Meeting Notice

A public meeting regarding the review and consideration of a proposed Michigan Spark Grant application for Glacial Hills Pathway and Natural Area of Forest Home Township will be held on December 1, 2022, at 7:00 PM during the regularly scheduled Township Board meeting. The Township Board will meet at the Forest Home Township Hall, located at 321 N Bridge Street, Bellaire, MI 49615. The following provides a summary overview of requested improvements to be included as part of this Spark Grant application:
- A new picnic pavilion, ADA routes to existing restroom facilities, and a skills course track.
A draft of the proposed improvements for this grant application will be made available the during the public meeting and have been shared on the Township’s website, Glacial Hill’s website and Facebook page.
All interested persons are invited to submit their comments in person or in writing at or before the Forest Home Township Board meeting. The Township will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services for the Township Board meeting to individuals with disabilities who request prior notice to the Township. Located in Antrim County, the Township is approximately 25 miles northeast of Traverse City, and is centrally located among the fifteen townships in the County. Forest Home Township is an interior peninsula with 26.6 miles of shoreline and surrounded by numerous lakes and rivers on three sides. Antrim County was first settled in 1849 near Elk Rapids and in 1871 Forest Home Township was organized by the Antrim County Board of Commissioners.
