Section 21-1000 COMPLIANCE: MONITORING & EVALUATION

Section 21-1001 Pretesting shall be conducted after the granting of Special Approval and before the
applicant's personal wireless service facilities begin transmission.

Section 21-1002 The applicant shall pay for an independent consultant, hired by the Township Board, to monitor background levels of EMF radiation, around the proposed facility site and/or repeater locations to be utilized for the applicant's personal wireless service facilities.

Section 21-1003 The independent consultant shall use monitoring protocol.

Section 21-1004 Applicant shall demonstrate that towers and antennas meet the following requirements:

Section 21-1005 Towers shall either maintain a galvanized steel finish or, subject to any applicable standards of the FAA, be painted a neutral color so as to reduce visual obtrusiveness.

Section 21-1006 At a tower site, the design of the buildings and related structures shall use materials, colors, textures, screening, and landscaping that will blend them into the natural setting and surrounding buildings.

Section 21-1007 If an antenna is installed on a structure other than a tower, the antenna and supporting electrical and mechanical equipment must be of a neutral color that is identical to, or closely compatible with the color of the supporting structure so as to make the antenna and related equipment as visually unobtrusive as possible.

Section 21-1008 Where a feasible alternative exists, towers, alternative tower structures and supporting structures shall not utilize a power source which generates noise able to be heard by a person of normal aural acuity and adjoining property lines or public property; however, this section shall not be construed as limiting the use of temporary generators or similar devices used to create power during periods of interruption of the primary power source.
