Section 20-1400 STANDARDS: MINING Section 20-1402 A performance guarantee shall be required for all proposed projects. This fee shall be of an amount sufficient to cover the costs to the Township of completing the earth-moving and landscaping to the conditions detailed in approved site plan. Section 20-1403 Sufficient native topsoil shall be left on the site as a ready resource to be used in reclamation work following excavation/extraction activity, unless a guaranteed replacement plan is approved. Section 20-1404 All structures, equipment and machinery shall be considered temporary and shall be removed from the site upon completion of the mineral extraction, mining or relocation. Section 20-1405 Air pollution, noise, and vibration factors shall be controlled within the limits governed by State and/or Federal regulations applicable to the facility. Section 20-1406 If necessary to protect the area, access routes serving the site may be specified for the purpose of limiting the exposure of residential areas to earth moving vehicles. Section 20-1407 The location of earth stockpiles, machinery, equipment and any buildings, shall be approved by permit but only in terms to protect adjoining properties and obtain the optimum use of the site. Topography, vegetation, screening devices, and physical isolation from residential properties shall be considered in locating site facilities and earth* stockpiles. Section 20-1408 The final grading and land reclamation plan for each permitted excavation shall be in general accordance with the character of uses and natural features on, adjoining lands to the extent practical. All reclamation, grading and seeding practices shall be done per USDA Soil Conservation Service standards and specifications. Section 20-1409 Specific site reclamation requirements must be
submitted in writing. The Planning Commission shall state specific
requirements based on the location of the site in terms of its
exposure to view, physical isolation, influence on residential
areas. sensitivity to the natural environment and/or reuse potential. Section 20-1410 Time limits maybe established in the approval of
a site plan to ensure the removal of the resource and restoration
of the property in a timely fashion. |
