Section 3-1201 Fencing and screening materials of a height greater than three feet (3') shall not be located within a required front setback or side setback adjacent to a street within the highway Clear Vision Zone. Section 3-1202 When located outside of a building, mechanical equipment including air conditioning . and heating devices, water and gas meters, but not including plumbing or exhaust vents, or chimneys, are to be screened to the height of the particular piece of equipment. Section 3-1203 Public Utility Substations must be screened on all sides by a solid wall or fencing, and landscaping. Section 3-1204 Swimming Pools: Yard areas with private pools must be fenced to discourage unsupervised access and use by small children. Such fencing must be a minimum of: 1. Four feet (4') and equipped with a self-closing and self-latching gate. 2. Latching devices must be located at a minimum height of four feet (4'). 3. Such fencing maybe omitted where building walls without doorways
or windows below the four feet (4) height abut the pool area, provided
that the wall is a minimum of four feet (4'). 2. Wrought iron. open mesh or slatted fencing, must not exceed the ratio of one part open to six-parts of solid fencing. 3. Masonry walls must be designed and constructed to facilitate maintenance
and not to modify natural drainage in such a way as to endanger adjacent
property, The outer face of such wall (the face away from the use which
is to be screened) must be made of clay, brick, stone. embossed or
pierced concrete block, or other decorative masonry material. 5. Barrier walls or fences having barbed wire, electric charges or
sharp materials at the top less than six feet (6) in height are prohibited
unless they are needed to protect the public safety and approved by
the Planning Commission. |
