Section 2-500 "D"

Section 2-501 Deck.. An open platform built over land or over wetlands. Section 2-502 DEQ. Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.

Section 2-503 Development. Any artificial or man-made change to real estate including but not limited to buildings or other structures, mining, dredging, filling, grading, paving, excavation or drilling operations.

Section 2-504 DNR. Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Section 2-505 Dock. An open platform built over water.

Section 2-506 Drain Field. An underground facility for the disposal into the soil of liquid sanitary waste (generally the effluent from a septic tank), which may consist of an arrangement of tile, pipes, concrete blocks, gravel, sand and other materials, and associated pipe connections.

Section 2-507 Driveway. An ingress/egress point which provides access to a parcel of property.

Section 2-508 Dwelling. A building or portion designed or used for residential occupancy but not including house trailers, hotels, boarding and lodging houses, guest homes, tourist courts or tourist homes.

Section 2-509 Dwelling. Multiple: A building designed for, or occupied by, three or more families living independently of each other.

Section 2-510 Dwelling, fine-Family. A building containing not more than one dwelling unit designed for residential use by a single family.

Section 2-511 Dwelling, Two-Family_. A building designed for, or occupied exclusively, by two families living independently of each other (duplex).
