Section 2-301 Bed and Breakfast Establishment. Transient lodging accommodations located within a single family dwelling unit and which may provide food service to guests.

Section 2-302 Billboard. A sign advertising off premise businesses or activities greater than 50 square feet in size. Commercial Outdoor Advertising and Outdoor Advertising are other terms commonly applied to larger billboards.

Section 2-303 Boarding, Lodging, Rooming House, Motel, Hotel. A building where for compensation and by prearrangement for definite periods, lodging, meals, or both are provided.

Section 2-304 Boardwalk. An elevated foot path.

Section 2-305 Building. Any structure having a roof supported by columns, or walls, for the shelter or enclosure of persons, animals or property of any kind.

Section 2-306 Building Envelope. The boundaries on a lot, parcel or condominium unit in which the building/structure intended for or constructed together with any attached/detached accessory structures are sited.

Section 2-307 Building Height. The vertical distance measured from the finished grade for the building to the highest point of the roof surface for flat roofs, to the deck line of mansard roofs, and to the average height between eaves and ridges for gable, hip and gambrel roofs. Where a building is located on sloping terrain, the height shall be measured from the average ground level of the grade at the building wall.

Section 2-308 Buffer Area. A landscaped area intended to separate and partially obstruct the view of two adjacent land uses/properties from one another.
