FOREST HOME TOWNSHIP
Regular Meeting
December 3, 2009
Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M.
Officers Present: T. Smith, S. Mahan, T. Kent, D. Crandall, D. Steiner
Guests: L. Simpkins, L Gallagher, B. Isenbarger, K. Erickson
Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion by Crandall to approve the Agenda. Supported by Steiner and carried.
Bev Isenbarger reported to the Board on the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund Grant. The MNRTF Board met on Tuesday, December 1 and Wednesday, December 2 to consider the many Grant Applications they had received from various state organizations. The Forest Home Township Grant was not chosen for funding. Based on several favorable comments regarding our application Bev felt that we should re-submit our application for the next grant cycle in April, 2010.
Motion by Mahan to approve Resolution #8 of 09/10 (Budget Amendment). Supported by Crandall and carried with the following voting:
Aye: Kent, Crandall, Steiner, Mahan, Smith
Nay: None
Motion by Steiner to approve the minutes of the 11/05/09 Meeting. Supported by Crandall and carried.
Motion by Kent to approve expenditures in the amount of $87,606.10. Supported by Steiner and carried.
Treasurer’s Report was given.
Planning Commission Update The Planning Commission continues to work on a Wind Energy Systems Ordinance. They also discussed the advisability of passing an Ordinance covering the use of ‘Bubblers’
near public property.
