Mahan Date of Meeting: 06/03/2009 Major Topics: Minutes: FOREST HOME TOWNSHIP Regular Meeting June 4, 2009 Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. Officers Present: T. Smith, S. Mahan, T. Kent, D. Crandall, D. Steiner Guests: J. Bilkousky, I. Crane, B. Derman, T. Weaver, L. Weaver, D. Ruppenthal, M. Ruppenthal, J. Crane, M. Koryto, D. Michie, L. Gallagher Pledge of Allegiance. Motion by Steiner to approve the Agenda. Supported by Crandall and carried. Mr. Koryto reiterated his opposition to the paving of Steiner Rd. After several comments from other meeting attendees, and Supervisor’s Smiths report that he had heard from several other area residents, with those in favor of paving at a two to one ratio, the Board decided to uphold their February 5th decision to pave Steiner Rd. Motion by Crandall to approve the minutes of the 05/07/09 Meeting. Supported by Crandall and carried. Motion by Kent to approve the minutes of the 05/20/09 Special Meeting. Supported by Crandall and carried. Motion by Kent to approve expenditures in the amount of $70,428.64. Supported by Crandall and carried. Treasurer’s Report was given. Planning Commission Update: The Shoreline Protection Ordinance and Future Use Plan will be ready for decision at the July 2009 Township Board Meeting. The Commission continues to discuss windmills and what parameters, if any, may be necessary. The subject of ‘Bubblers’ has not yet been addressed by the Commission. Parks & Recreation Committee Update: Negotiations regarding the Lake Bellaire property that is currently being considered for purchase continue. Correspondence: Supervisor Smith read a letter he had received from Mr. & Mrs. Marek outlining some concerns they have regarding water run-off in connection to the Forest Home Township building addition/renovation plans.
