Regular Meeting
April 2, 2009
Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M.
Officers Present: T. Smith, S. Mahan, T. Kent, D. Crandall
Absent: D. Steiner
Guests: D. Bean, S. Jozwiak, J. Zachow, L. Gallagher, D.
Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion by Crandall to approve the Agenda, with the following changes – delete ‘Fire Department Update’. Supported by Kent and carried.
Sheriff Bean updated the Board on issues handled by his department in February and March 2009.
Motion by Crandall to authorize Whiteford Associates to move to the next level of the design process on the proposed hall addition. Supported by Kent and carried.
Motion by Smith to reappoint Quentin White to the Bellaire Fire Board for a three year term. Supported by Crandall and carried.
Motion by Kent to approve Resolution # 1 of 2009/2010 (Resolution Asserting Township Board Right to Approve Master Plan). Supported by Crandall and carried with the following voting
Aye: Kent, Crandall, Smith, Mahan
Nay: None
Absent: Steiner
Supervisor declared the Resolution adopted.
The Board discussed the bids received for the mowing at access sites and township hall for the 2009 season.
Motion by Smith to accept the bid from Torch Lake Cottage Service for mowing of 18 access sites and the bid received from Trees North for the mowing at the township hall site. Supported by Crandall and carried.
Motion by Kent to approve the minutes of the 03/05/09 Meeting. Supported by Smith and carried.
Motion by Crandall to approve expenditures in the amount of $21,336.79. Supported by Kent and carried.
Treasurer’s Report was given.
Motion by Smith to authorize the Planning Commission to continue the process for the future land use amendment to the Master Plan. Supported by Mahan and carried.
