FOREST HOME TOWNSHIP
Regular Meeting
January 8, 2009
Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M.
Officers Present: T. Smith, S. Mahan, T. Kent, D. Crandall, D. Steiner
Guests: None
Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion by Crandall to approve the Agenda with the addition of Audit Report under Correspondence and Glacial Hills Committee above Road Improvement Plan for 2009. Supported by Kent and carried.
Moved by Smith to approve Amendments to Article 4 of the Zoning Ordinance. Supported by Kent and carried.
Motion by Smith to reappoint E. Watrous, R. De Guili, and E. Dewey to the Board of Review. Supported by Kent and carried.
Motion by Smith to appoint D. Crandall, D. Dewey and P. Trumble to a Joint Committee comprised of both Township and County appointees to develop a plan for improvements and for the joint management of Glacial Hill Natural Area. Supported by Steiner and carried.
No action taken on 2009 Road Improvements – Estimates from the Road Commission have not been received.
Motion by Crandall to approve the Minutes of the 12/04/08 Meeting. Supported by Steiner and carried.
Motion by Kent to approve expenditures in the amount of $22,152.41. Supported by Crandall and carried.
Treasurer’s Report was given.
Planning Commission: Work continues on the Land Use Plan and Mapping.
Parks & Recreation Committee: Ideas for possible future recreation areas are being explored.
The 2008 Audit Report has been received with no deficiencies noted.
Supervisor Smith reported that the Township Attorney has advised the Board that Shore Drive does not currently qualify for consideration under the Township Road Paving criteria.
