FOREST HOME TOWNSHIP
Regular Meeting
August 7, 2008
Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M.
Officers Present: T. Smith, S. Mahan, T. Kent, D. Crandall, D. Steiner
Guests: A. Priebe
Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion by Mahan to approve the Agenda with the addition of ‘Consider Master Plan’ to immediately follow ‘Public Comment’. Supported by Kent and carried.
Motion by Mahan to add ‘Old Business’ to the Agenda immediately after ‘Correspondence’. Supported by Kent and carried.
Motion by Smith to approve the Forest Home Township Master Plan with the submitted editing changes as outlined in the August 6, 2008 Forest Home Township Planning Commission Minutes. Supported by Crandall and carried.
Motion by Crandall to approve the Minutes of the 07/10/08 Meeting. Supported by Kent and carried.
Motion by Mahan to approve expenditures in the amount of $50,885.43. Supported by Kent and carried.
Treasurer’s Report was given.
Planning Commission: Work continues on Article 4 of the Zoning Ordinance (Environmentally sensitive areas).
Parks & Recreation Committee: Work on the Access Areas has now been completed.
Motion by Smith to accept, with regret, Dave Schuler’s resignation from the Parks & Recreation Committee. Supported by Mahan and carried.
Supervisor Smith read a letter received from the Village of Bellaire informing him that the Village has decided not to move ahead with their planned DDA at this time.
Supervisor Smith will schedule a joint meeting with Kearney Township in August to discuss the request from Area Seniors for a resolution to their request for transfer of property from the townships to the Area Seniors so they can continue with their plans for an addition to an existing building at that site.
