FOREST HOME TOWNSHIP
Regular Meeting
January 3, 2008
Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M.
Officers Present: S. Mahan, T. Kent, T. Smith, D. Crandall, D. Steiner
Guests: H. Robinson, B. Thompson, L. Cran
Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion by Crandall to approve the Agenda. Supported by Steiner and carried.
Antrim County Road Commission, B. Thompson met with the Board to discuss Paving plans for 2008. He will prepare estimates for action by the Board at the next meeting.
Motion by Smith to appoint Mary Edens to the Bellaire Library Board for a three year term, to replace Jim Wilson who resigned in December. Supported by Mahan and carried.
Motion by Mahan to reappoint Melinda Brown and Marty Harris to the Bellaire Library Board (3 year terms). Supported by Kent and carried.
Motion by Kent to approve the Minutes of the 12/06//07 Meeting with the following correction – Paragraph Five “1st Tuesday” should read 1st Thursday. Supported by Crandall and carried.
Motion by Kent to approve expenditures (check #5699 thru 5746) in the amount of $31,928.90. Supported by Crandall and carried.
Treasurer’s Report shows a balance of $947,147.53.
Motion by Crandall to approve Resolution #5, 0f 07/08 (Budget Amendment). Supported by Kent and carried with the following voting:
Aye: Smith, Mahan, Kent, Crandall, Steiner
Nay: None
Trustee Steiner informed the Board that the updated Master Plan has been distributed to Board Members for review.
The Board will complete their review of the proposed Revised Master Plan prior to the Planning Commission’s next meeting.
A meeting between the Forest Home Township Board, Kearney Township Board and the Bellaire Fire Department Board is tentatively being scheduled for Thuraday, January 17, 2008 to discuss the upcoming Fire Department Budget meeting.
