FOREST HOME TOWNSHIP
Regular Meeting
February 1, 2007

Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M.

Officers Present: T. Smith, T. Kent, D. Crandall, D. Steiner
Absent: S. Mahan
Guests: L. Wier, C. Stellin

Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion by Steiner to approve the Agenda with the deletion of ‘Bellaire Village Street Repair’. Supported by Kent and carried.

Lindsey Wier from the Antrim Conservation District informed the Board that the District is currently working on a Grant to help restore the Elk Rapids Dam and other Watershed issues. She also invited the board to a meeting on June 13, 2007 regarding new ordinances.

The Board discussed the Cemetery Proposal – looking for ways to save money – cheaper grave openings and lawn maintenance, etc. The cemetery committee will be looking for bids on this.

Motion by Crandall to approve the Minutes of the 01/04/07 Meeting. Supported by Steiner and carried.

Motion by Kent to approve expenditures (check # 5267 thru 5299) in the amount of $17,263.56. Supported by Crandall and carried.

Treasurer’s Report shows a balance of $862,503.82.

Neither the Planning Commission nor the Parks & Recreation Committee has had their February meetings so there were no reports for these activities.

Supervisor Smith informed the Board that the Village has requested financial help in the repair of a portion of W. Cayuga St. This issue was tabled until the March meeting. Supervisor Smith also reported on the status of the Ambulance building project and read a letter from the Library Board submitted with their annual report.
