Mahan Date of Meeting: 11/02/2006 Major Topics: Minutes: FOREST HOME TOWNSHIP Regular Meeting November 2, 2006 Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. Officers Present: S. Mahan, T. Kent, D. Crandall, D. Steiner Absent: T. Smith Guests: L. Miller, B. Thompson, R. Kendra Pledge of Allegiance. Motion by Kent to approve the Agenda. Supported by Crandall and carried. L. Miller asked where the Steiner Rd. Access issue stands now and was informed that it has been set for trial next spring. T. Thompson (Antrim County Road Commission) made some suggestions for road paving plans for 2007. He will send the Board estimates for the maintenance work suggested. R. Kendal (Clark, Walter, Sirrine Architects) went over with the Board, changes to the proposed Township Hall addition/renovation. The Board discussed the bids received for the demolition and clean up of the cabin located on the Forest Home Township Clam Lake property. Motion by Kent to accept the bid from SRW ($5,606.00), with the condition that this amount includes the cost of permits. Supported by Mahan and carried. Motion by Kent to approve the Minutes of the 10/05/06 Meeting. Supported by Crandall and carried. Motion by Crandall to approve expenditures (check # 5142thru 5173) in the amount of $13,450.01. Supported by Steiner and carried. Treasurer’s Report shows a balance of $812,194.88. Trustee Steiner informed the Board that the Planning Commission is getting close to being able to formulate a new Master Plan. They are also still working on the Yacht Club proposal but are not yet ready to make a decision Trustee Crandall reported that he had met recently with Village officials, as well as Kearney Township officials and County Commissioner, David Howelman to discuss the formulation of a joint Parks & Recreation Committee.
