FOREST HOME TOWNSHIP
Regular Meeting
October 5, 2006
Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M.
Officers Present: T. Smith, S. Mahan, T. Kent, D. Crandall, D. Steiner
Guests: H. Clayton
Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion by Steiner to approve the Agenda with the addition of ‘Supervisor Report Re: Public Burning’ to follow the Public Comment Section. Supported by Crandall and carried.
Supervisor Smith shared with the Board the information he had garnered concerning Open Burning of trash within the County and State. There are no burning ordinances in any neighboring townships. The state does have procedures to be followed and these were outlined briefly. The Board has no plans at present to issue an ordinance banning outside burning of trash, however the concerns raised in this matter may be covered in the next newsletter to be issued by the Planning Commission.
Motion by Crandall to approve the Minutes of the 09/07/06 Meeting. Supported by Kent and carried.
Motion by Crandall to approve expenditures (check # 5110 thru 5141) in the amount of $17,140.86. Supported by Kent and carried.
Treasurer’s Report shows a balance of $816,043.30.
Board was asked to be prepared to discuss 2007 paving plans at the next meeting.
Trustee Steiner informed the Board that the Planning Commission is currently working on the Master Plan revisions/updates.
The Parks and Recreation Committee did not meet in October.
Motion by Smith to approve the list of five Election Inspectors (plus one alternate) submitted by the Clerk for the November, 2006 General Election. Supported by Kent and carried.
Motion by Crandall to allow the Village of Bellaire an easement directly west of the parking lot at the Senior Center to allow the continuance of the Walking Path. Supported by Mahan and carried.
