FOREST HOME TOWNSHIP
Regular Meeting
May 4, 2006
Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M.
Officers Present: T. Smith, S. Mahan, T. Kent, D. Crandall, D. Steiner
Guests: T. Malone, B. Smith
Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion by Crandall to approve the Agenda. Supported by Steiner and carried.
B. Smith, from the USDA rural Development Authority, addressed the Board regarding the various Lending Programs offered by his organization.
Supervisor Smith went over preliminary plans for an addition to the current township hall and remodeling of the current building to better serve constituents during elections as well as for normal daily activities.
Motion by Smith to approve the Minutes of the 04/06/06 Meeting. Supported by Kent and carried.
Motion by Mahan to approve the Minutes of the 03/28/06 Special Meeting between Forest Home Township, Kearney Township and the Bellaire District Fire Authority. Supported by Smith and carried.
Motion by Kent to approve expenditures (check # 4855 thru 4888) in the amount of $19,526.51. Supported by Crandall and carried.
Treasurer’s report shows a balance of $884,810.83.
Trustee Steiner brought the Board up to date on the issues currently being addressed by the Planning Commission, including the proposed location of the new Masonic Lodge, New Master Plan and Wind Turbine issues.
Trustee Crandall brought the Board up to date on the issue currently being addressed by the Parks and Recreation Committee, Forest Home Township Park.
