FOREST HOME TOWNSHIP
Regular Meeting
December 2, 2004
Meeting called to order by Supervisor Smith at 7:00 P.M.
Officers Present: T. Smith, S. Mahan, T. Kent, D. Crandall, S. Steiner
Guests: J. Hanson, K. Stead
Pledge of Allegiance.
The Board heard from two Village of Bellaire representatives regarding the sharing of expenses on Park Maintenance and Roads within the village. The Board informed them that they had already planned to set aside all Road Millage Revenues collected from Forest Home Township residents who reside within the village (less 20% to cover administrative costs) to be used for the maintenance/upkeep of streets located within the Forest Home Township portion of the Village ($7900.00/year). The Board also agreed to share in Park maintenance expenses (mowing/trimming) for Richardi Park; Rotary Park; and the Forest Home Township section of the Walking Path, approximately (6,000/year).
Motion by Crandall to approve the minutes of the November 4, 2004 meeting. Supported by Kent and carried.
Motion by Steiner to approve expenditures (check # 4187 thru 4209) in the amount of $11,577.71. Supported Mahan and carried.
Treasurer’s report shows a balance of $656,879.03.
Motion by Smith to approve the Lease between the State of Michigan and Forest Home Township for property located immediately South of the Forest Home Township Park. Lease to run for a period of fifteen (15) years with a ten (10) year renewal option – at no cost. Supported by Crandall and carried.
Motion by Steiner to approve the Board Meeting Calendar for 2005. Supported by Kent and carried.
