Mahan Date of Meeting: 03/04/2004 Major Topics: Minutes: FOREST HOME TOWNSHIP Regular Meeting March 4, 2004 Meeting called to order by Supervisor Smith at 7:00 P.M. Officers Present: T. Smith, S. Mahan, T. Kent, S. Steiner Absent: D. Crandall Guests: J. Hallberg, Dr. L.F. Smiley, J. Smiley, E. Boyer Pledge of Allegiance. Dr. Smiley addressed the Board expressing some concerns regarding boat traffic on the North Arm of Lake Bellaire. Supervisor Smith will explore what actions, if any, can be taken. Motion by Smith to amend the Agenda to move the Fire Department Report immediately following Public Comment. Supported by Mahan and carried. Bellaire Fire Department annual report was given by Fire Chief, C. Dewey. Motion by Steiner to approve the 2004/2005 Budget Resolution. Supported by Kent and carried with the following voting: Aye: Smith, Mahan, Kent, Steiner - Nay: None - Absent: Crandall Motion by Mahan to approve the Resolution setting wages for 2004/2005. Supported by Steiner and carried with the following voting: Aye: Smith, Kent, Mahan, Steiner - Nay: None - Absent: Crandall. Motion Smith to reappoint D. Bedell, B. Isenbarger and D. Schuler to the Parks & Recreation Committee for three year terms expiring in March 2007. Supported by Kent and carried. Motion by Mahan to approve the paving of: Snowflake Rd.; wooded area of Cottage Dr.; addition of four feet of paving to each side of East Torch Lake Dr from Clam River Bridge north to the township line. Supported by Kent and carried. Motion by Steiner to approve the minutes of the February 5, 2004 meeting. Supported by Smith and carried. Motion by Steiner to approve expenditures (check # 3808 thru 3836) in the amount of $10,602.43. Supported by Mahan and carried. Treasurer’s Report shows a balance of $736,216.55.
