PART ONE - DESCRIPTION
OF FOREST HOME TOWNSHIP INTRODUCTION OVERALL PHILOSOPHY The Forest Home Township Master Plan was developed by a
nine member committee established for that purpose under the direction of the
Forest Home Township Planning Commission. The committee's efforts were guided
by Vision, Mission and Goal Statements. These guiding principles are
supplemented by a series of action statements that indicate specifically how
each goal will be achieved. Our
vision of what Forest Home Township will look like in the future is: "We picture Forest Home Township as
a hilly peninsula surrounded by clean, clear lakes and rivers. From our
roadways we see vistas of farms & fields, meadows and forests, lakes and
valleys. People's homes and businesses are built in harmony with nature." Our mission is: "To preserve, protect and enhance
the land and water resources of the township. We want to encourage desirable
development options and to ensure a rural way of life for the people who live
and visit here." Our goals are to: ·
"Preserve and protect our township's natural
resources. ·
"Preserve and protect the rural character of
our township." ·
"Encourage land use consistent with the rural
character of our township." ·
"Provide a level of community services that is
appropriate for the desired level and location of development in our township. Table of Maps
